Online Banking FAQs

What do I need to do to bank online? To get started, simply enroll online or through our mobile app! You will be directed to a form that requires some of your personal information to help authenticate you. Answer the questions and click on the green enroll button.

What is my Username and Password for State Bank Personal Online Banking? You are able to choose both your Username and your password at the time of enrollment.You will be provided with the requirements during the online enrollment process.

Why do I have to enter and answer security questions? The security questions and answers are used to further authenticate your identity when you log in to Personal Online Banking. This added security feature helps to minimize the risk of potential unauthorized access to your personal and financial information.

Can I use Personal Online Banking for my business accounts? Personal Online Banking is designed to be used for personal accounts only.  If you would like to see your business accounts, please enroll for Business Online Banking or contact one of our e-banking specialists.

Is my Username and User ID the same thing? Yes! Your Username is the same as your User ID that you selected during your original Online Banking enrollment process.

What accounts do I need to have for Online Banking? To use Online Banking, you will need a personal account with State Bank.  If you do not currently bank with us, apply online for an account today!

Will I be able to view my checks when I view my account activity? Yes, you can view a copy of your checks by clicking on the blue check number.

How do I sign into Personal Online Banking? Go to our home page. You will find the login area in the top left-hand corner to enter your Username and password, then click LOGIN.

What if I forget my password for Online Banking? If you forget your password, you can select the “Forgot Password” option on the login page. You will be prompted to enter your Username, the last 4 digits of your Social Security number and your email address. If the provided information matches what is on file, you will receive an email with a link to reset your password.

You may also always contact an E-Banker for assistance logging in.

What if I forgot my Username? Please contact an E-Banker for assistance verifying your Username.

Can I nickname my accounts? Yes! You can give nicknames to your accounts for easier tracking and monitoring.  Once you are logged into your online banking, click on the “edit accounts” option in the right-hand column. This allows you to remove the generic account name and personalize it to what fits you best!

How often do I need to sign into Personal Online Banking? While Online Banking is a complimentary service, it may be cancelled if there is no activity for a period of 3 consecutive months. If cancelled, you can simply re-enroll!

What happens when I try to enroll and I get errors that it won’t let me? If you receive an error while enrolling, please verify that your 4-digit PIN is either the last 4 of your social security number or your telebanc pin number. If you are still having trouble enrolling, please contact an E-Banker for assistance.

Can I change my password and security questions? Yes! Once you are logged in to your online banking account, select the “Profile” option in the top right-hand corner. This will allow you the option to edit your password and challenge questions.

Can I change my email address and phone number? Yes! Once you are logged in to your online banking account, select the “Profile” option in the top right-hand corner. This will allow you the option to edit your email address and phone number.

Can I access previous account statements from Online Banking? Yes! Once you are logged in to your online banking account, select the accounts tab and then the documents option. Input the account and date range that you would like to receive statements for and select submit.

How do I get my current statement? Current statements are sent through the mail (paper statement) or are sent electronically as an E-Statement. If you are currently receiving paper statements, but would like to receive E-Statements, please contact State Bank or fill out this form and return it to any State Bank location to enroll.

Can I do a stop payment on Personal Online Banking? We do offer you the option to do a stop payment through online banking. Click on the account that you want to do the stop payment on and enter the information as directed. You will see there are special instructions that may not allow you to do your own stop payment. If that is the case, please call State Bank at 888.367.5500 for assistance.

Can I do Bill Pay through Personal Online Banking? Yes, once you are logged in to Online Banking, you click on the bill pay tab and are prompted to accept the terms and conditions. There is a 3-step tutorial that will walk you through how to set up your billers. You may also watch the bill pay demo or contact an E-Banker for assistance.
